On April 18, 2011, the Hawai`i Supreme Court amended Supreme Court Rules 1.4 and 1.7, allowing military attorneys to apply for limited admission without having to pay for a character report and expanding representation of military personnel to those enlisted in grades E-1 through E-5, effective on July 1, 2011.
